Privacy policy
Who is responsible?
Exalo Media, established in the Netherlands, operates this website and is the controller for the processing described here. Contact exalo@europe.com with privacy questions or requests. Business identification details appear in our legal notice.
Website operation and analytics
We use Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2 for hosting. Delivering and securing the website can involve technical data such as an IP address, time, requested URL and browser information. This supports our legitimate interest in providing a reliable service and preventing abuse.
We use Matomo at analytics.exalo.eu for website audience figures and our media kit. Your browser starts Matomo only after you agree. Data can include pages visited, time, referring website, browser, device and network information. Our tracking code excludes contact messages and full search parameters and disables tracking cookies. This does not mean that hosting or Matomo never processes an IP address. Further processing also depends on server settings.
You can change your choice through ‘Privacy settings’ in the footer. This necessary browser preference is kept for no more than twelve months. Withdrawing consent stops new measurements in that browser but does not automatically erase earlier records. We do not use the figures to build profiles for personalised advertising. Where consent is required, we rely on consent under applicable data protection law and the UK rules on cookies and similar technologies.
Enquiries and business requests
If you contact us, we process your email address, message and any name or subject you provide to respond or prepare a business relationship. The basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries or taking steps at your request before a contract. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. A pseudonymised technical key may briefly be used to limit form abuse.
Affiliate clicks and paid listings
Our own click records contain the website, the linked park or accommodation type and the time. That click table does not store names, email addresses, raw IP addresses or browser profiles. Technical request information may nevertheless be processed for security and bot checks. After you follow a link, the provider or affiliate network processes data under its own privacy and cookie information.
If you enquire about or buy extra visibility, such as a featured listing, we may need business contact, quotation, order and invoice details. We use these to handle the request, fulfil an agreement and maintain required records. Buying a listing does not give permission for newsletters or other direct marketing.
Retention and sharing
For resolved enquiries, our reference period is up to twelve months after resolution, unless a dispute or legal duty requires longer retention. Technical and analytics retention is determined by necessary security investigations, useful audience analysis and configured logging and deletion periods. You can ask us for the current Matomo and hosting settings. Tax records are kept under the applicable Dutch duties, generally seven years for basic accounting records.
Hosting and email providers help us supply and secure the service. Cloudflare and other suppliers may process data outside the EEA or UK. Where required, transfers use appropriate safeguards, such as a valid adequacy arrangement or applicable standard contractual safeguards. We do not sell your contact details.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable EU GDPR or UK GDPR, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. We respond within the applicable statutory time limits. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or another competent authority. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why a proportionate identity check is needed.
This policy covers this comparison website, not a booking provider’s website. Updated: 3 November 2026.
Maps
Our maps use Leaflet with tiles from OpenStreetMap or the map provider configured for the website. Loading a map sends that service technical request details, including the IP address and the requested map area, so it can deliver the map. This is separate from Matomo. Further information: OpenStreetMap Foundation.
